For all I know it was one of those drunken dares conjured up after a night on the Sang Thip in Bankgok. He was about 7ft tall himself so cut quite an eccentric figure. Thankfully I didn’t have to share a bus with him and his tyre.

Ha. Really? Was he doing it as a fundraiser or just for look-at-me kicks? Sorry I’m all for the guitar plan, but this tyre thing just isn’t doing it for me. I’m being mean, perhaps. I suppose if he was getting tourist buses that’s ok, but I keep picturing a backpacker making a nuissance of himself getting on overcrowded local bus with his giant tyre. Mind you, either way, am sure he raised some smiles.
